Winterizing your vessel is one of the most important things to do in order to protect your boat from the harsh elements of the winter season. Consider becoming a preferred contract client, which would insure that your winterization and de-winterization services receive priority scheduling. Inboard & Inboard / Outboard engine Winterizing:
Includes: Run engine to operating temp and inspect physically and visually all systems to be sure they are all working properly.
- Change engine oil and filter
- Change out drive oil (where applicable)
- Top off all fluids such as, steering fluid and anti-freeze.
- Change all fuel filters
- Stabilize Fuel System
- Drain engine block, intake manifold and exhaust system of all raw water
- Fill engine block, intake manifold and exhaust system with anti-freeze
- Fog cylinders with proper fog treatment.
- Remove batteries
*Fresh water systems, heads, air conditioners, hot water heaters shower pumps etc are all extra...please complete the form and call our office for pricing.
Cycle Outboard Engine Winterizing:
Includes: Run engine to normal operating temp. Check to make sure all systems are working correctly.
- Add fuel stabilizer and fuel treatment to gasoline
- Drain lower unit gear oil, Inspect for signs of water, Install new drain and vent seals,
Re-fill with synthetic blend hi performance grade oil. (Yamaha engines are filled with
OE Yamaha oil) In addition Customers Can Pay $10.00 extra for OEM oil.
- Run engine again to operating temp. Inject fogging fluid into fuel system and
cylinders and shut engine down
- Spray engine down with a corrosion inhibitor and lubricant to protect it during the
winter.
- Clean steering cable with a de-grease solution and install new grease for smooth
operation.
- Grease all applicable cables and grease fittings.
Cycle Outboard Engine Winterizing:
Same as above but with crank case oil & filter change. (We only use OEM oil for 4 stroke outboard engines)
Additional Winterization Services:
- Change engine oil and filter: 4 cycle engines : highly recommended !
- Change inboard transmission fluid
- Change FWC engine coolant
- Replace zinc anodes
- Drain/ refill outdrive or outboard gear oil
- Remove,lubricate splines and reinstall I/O or outboard prop
- Grease all lubrication fittings: I/O, steering system
- Place dessicant in cabin
